Mim Suleiman has been described as Mama Africa of the modern era, but also defies categorisation. A boundary crossing performer, she reaches deep into her East African heritage to blend traditional Taarab vibes with dub, jazz, soul and funk. Her versatile and charismatic presence have led to collaborations with some of the biggest names in Africa and the diaspora include Baaba Maal, Amadou & Mariam, Bassekou Kouyate, Fatoumata Diawara, Maurice Fulton, Rosin Murphy, Fantasma, Africa Express, Damon Albarn, Juldeh Camara, Justin Adams and Robert Plant.

A gifted composer and songwriter in both English and Swahili, she sings in a variety of languages including Fula. Mingi, a song from her debut album Tungi released in 2010 is said to be the first African Song to be featured in Grand Theft Auto V. Produced by Maurice Fulton, since then they have released four more albums; 'Umbeya' (2012), 'Adera Dera' (2015) 'Kawaida' (2017), 'Si Bure' (2019) and the most recent 'POA' in July 2022.

Hailing from North Manchester, Meduulla is a 23 year old Zimbabwean-born Rapper, Poet and DJ paving her way through the UK rap scene. Meduulla marries her modern flows and witty lyrics with jazz inspired hip hop instrumentals to create music that reflects the present day whilst carrying a nostalgic air.
Having been a writer for 10 years, she released her first single in 2021 which then led to her appearance on BBC’s The Rap Game UK as a finalist. Her independently released single, Mish Muulla was selected as Track of the Week on BBC 1Xtra Radio, resulting in Meduulla performing at Reading and Leeds festival 2022.
The wordsmith is a 2023 Sound and Music Seed Award recipient and her poetry won first prize in TogetherintheUK’s migrant writers competition.
This July, Meduulla released ‘Limbo’ the first single from her Debut EP. The single has had “100k people hanging on every word she’s spitting” as described by Fashionably Early Magazine. After a series of successful years as an emerging artist, she is tipped for big things in 2024 and beyond.
