It's time. On October 14, experimental label POSTWORLD leaves the sanctity of the digital realm to emerge for the first time in physical space.
We won't arrive quietly. A line-up of international and local sonic provocateurs has been assembled to disrupt the dancefloor of Bangkok's Decommune and show you the bleedingest edges of experimental and post-club sounds.
𝗿𝗘𝗺𝗣𝗶𝗧 𝗴𝟬𝗱𝗗𝗲$$ (Malaysia)
Dive headfirst into the heart of the South East Asian experimental electronic scene with rEmPiT g0dDe$$, an artist who explores the darkest recesses of industrial club. Armed with a sonic arsenal forged in the underground, she has released on labels like @nusasonic, @easternmargins, and POSTWORLD. Her presence resonated at the 2022 @mahorasopfestival in Bangkok, where she left an enduring mark with a Boiler Room set so stomping it was voted by Mixmag Asia as one of the year's best.
𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘀 (Indonesia)
Yogyakarta-based Sanjonas is a multi-talented monster, an artist, graphic designer, music producer, and DJ. As a member of the underground music platform @postpartysyndroma and co-founder of the @bastcultura music collective, he's been instrumental in shaping the soundscape of his city and beyond. Sanjonas is also the founder of @rareditions, an entity dedicated to research and archive-based projects, and a key player in the record label @earfluxrecs. He recently released his debut album Incunabula Heroes on POSTWORLD.
𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗴 (Thailand)
Theerapat Wongpaisarnkit aka Beam Wong is a Bangkok-based artist. He has expressed himself through a tapestry of media, including film, music, installation art, and DJing. What sets Beam Wong apart is an unwavering sense of experimentation. In recent months, he has been a consistent fixture on the Bangkok underground scene with fascinatingly creative appearances for @bangkokcommunitytadio, @cosm_bkk, @durian.radio, @yousaidyoulikedancing, and many more.
𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 (UK)
As POSTWORLD founder and a resident DJ on @hkcronline, personalbrand has established himself as a consistent presence in the underground electronic music scene. His music has reverberated across platforms like Hör, Boiler Room, NTS, Rinse, and Crack Magazine. In his tracks and DJ sets, he fuses global underground sounds with hi-tech electronics, gleefully smashing together genres, influences, and tempos with the sincerest irony and an infectious sense of chaos.
Complementing our presentation of novel directions in club music will be new works by Andrea Mikyska, a visual artist known for her ethereal integration of the organic and the imaginary.
