The Spirit of the Rave leaves the concrete jungle and hits the road for the Motor City. A former auto shop in Conant Gardens serves as the setting for our collection of handpicked sounds that oscillate between the worlds of hip-hop and electronic music. [BLACKMOONCHILD] starts the ignition with a sonic love letter to Detroit techno, making house, garage and hip-hop pit stops along the way. On air next channeling their inner Hanna-Barbera villain, FXHE Records’ own [Dastardly Kids] perform their debut album, Delinquent. Local powerhouse [Tammy Lakkis] takes the night into sport mode, revving up down & dirty basslines with lilting Arabic touches. Joining us for his third RAPRAVE circuit is Boston’s [Amadeezy], bringing a nitro-fueled selection of electro and booty bass records from the 617 to the 313. The evening rallies down the homestretch with an offer you can’t refuse: a closing performance from ghettotech pioneer and scratch maestro, [DJ Godfather].
