Hydrash, a queer party and collective, is a safe space driving through the profound journey of self-exploration and emancipation from the shackles of sexual, cultural, and social dogmas; By practising care and mutual respect, it beckons queer individuals and allies to the dance floor, encouraging them to embrace undiscovered worlds, unfamiliar experiences, and uncharted territories.
Hydrash's ethos is grounded on utopian visions, where utopia isn't merely a phantasmagorical way of imagining the ideal world but a daily thought practice, which kindles the perspective that positive change is possible, giving rise to hope and strength of resistance to overcome the barriers set up by the system on this path.
On September 30th, at Horoom, Hydrash will embark on a collaborative journey with Amsterdam's most inspiring queer collective, Spielraum, featuring its impressive artists: Ki/Ki, known for their fast, hyper-energetic sets and a blend of nostalgic and futuristic sonorities, vinyl enthusiast Afra, celebrated for their technical skills and precise selection; Mary Lake, who uses DJing as a means of expressing inner emotional states and dynamics; Dutch artist Polly F; and Fafi Abdel Nour, the curator and mastermind behind Groningen's extravagant queer party series, Homoost
