TOTAL 11 – the time has come and we are now into the double digits. It’s a privilege to think that its now over 12 years ago that we, KOMPAKT remain still not only as we started as a record store and label but also a distribution home for over 40 record labels, booking agency for our proud family of DJ’s and acts, plus a publishing and management house. We have grown, our family certainly has as well and our annual compilation of music and of course the TOTAL parties have become an institution of what our fans expect year after year. We consider ourselves lucky especially in these times and of course feel the need to celebrate. So, following the massive success of our KOMPAKT 3000 party in June, we return to our home, Cologne's PAPIERFABRIK on August 20th with the annual gala - TOTAL 11.
This year features a stellar line up featuring a true legend, THOMAS FEHLMANN of THE ORB fame who is finally back on German soil after touring the world in support of his acclaimed solo full length "GUTE LUFT". We welcome Belgium's MUGWUMP for the first time to TOTAL and will be brimmed with epic techno, house and disco gems. KOMPAKT co-owner MICHAEL MAYER is in a sea of praise for his recent DJ mix "IMMER 3" and is always a special part of the TOTAL festivities. TOBIAS THOMAS is the torchbearer of Cologne's legendary TOTAL CONFUSION parties and a longstanding member of the family. SHUMI remains one of the hardest working DJ's and promoters in Cologne and an essential part of the party. The duo COMA are a favorite local act and will be sure to bring their floor throttling bootlegs to life with their massive live set. We welcome SEBASTIEN BOUCHET to our family - this French/Berlin based techno maestro is a name we guarantee you will be hearing a lot about over the coming year. His contribution to our TOTAL 11 collection speaks volumes of this. KOMPAKT's own GEO, JAN ERIC KAISER and CRATO round off what is certain to be a memorable and over-the-top blowout.
