We have invited Jaguar Skills and Jerome Hill for a 90's Hip-hop Time Bomb night to kick off 2024 with a journey through the 90s and 00s top hits!
Jerome Hill, a cultural icon in the techno music scene. Hill, hailing from the UK, is a living legend with a life dedicated to music. His expertise spans running five renowned record labels – DON’T, Super Rhythm Trax, Bleeper, Hornsey Hardcore & Fat Hop – and years of experience in managing record shops and rocking illegal raves in London.
Jaguar Skills is the type of DJ who won’t just identify a sample, he’ll source the recording date, studio, musicians, and engineers. Given time, he’ll find out what they had for breakfast that also find out what they had for breakfast that day, too. An artist, DJ, producer, curator, archivist and so many other roles in between, he’s just as likely to be touring with The Prodigy as he is making Netflix theme tunes for comedian Romesh Ranganathan. On other days he could be writing entire scores to movies that only exist in his mind, such as his debut album ‘The ManIn The Jaguar Mask’, or creating complex trips for his Hip-Hop Timebomb project; epic mixes that take his story-telling skills and dexterous chops to such levels of delicious detail you’ll be scratching your head more than he scratches the records.
