- Close Quarters is a rare community experience by DESCENDANTS where we explore Afro-Electronic music & soundscapes in intimate settings. We're proud to be featuring South Africa's own QUE DJ, renowned as the pioneer of the Gqom genre. Originally from the KwaMashu township of Durban, QUE DJ has set the bar for futuristic Gqom production. This line-up features QUE DJ alongside DESCENDANTS' own Meedy & Pizzi, & KingSfiso from South Africa for an intimate evening of Afro-Electronic soundscapes. DESCENDANTS is an international Afro & Culturally Inspired Electronic Music Event based out of New York where people come together for Afro House & Afro Tech. We welcome all to an expressive environment free of judgement. NO forms of harassment or discrimination will be tolerated. Expressive dress is favored but not required. No white tank tops.
