This event is our annual Groove 4 A Cause fundraiser benefitting the incredible arts-therapy-for-kids non-profit, The ELM Foundation [See link above for more info about this beautiful non-profit].
Expect multiple flavors of heady dance music + super special unannounced guests, touching upon New York & Detroit House Music, Neo-Soul/Funk/Hip Hop, Middle Eastern Dance Music, Minimal House, Acid, Breaks, Disco, Funk, and grooves from all different corners of the world.

We are extremely excited to welcome producer/singer/instrumentalist, Illa J, as our guest for our annual early live show. Illa J has toured the world with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, and has had his music featuring on Colours TV and Red Bull Music. His new album 'No Traffic' along with his entire catalog, represent a beautiful smorgasbord of neo-soul, hip-hop, and dance music. (He's also the brother of legendary producer / beatmaker J-Dilla. )
Salt Cathedral are the genre-defying NYC based duo of Juliana Ronderos and Nicolas Losada. Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, they are celebrated for their ability to fuse elements from the vanguard of electronic music, a scope of global rhythms, and Caribbean dance culture to create an inimitable pop sound that is as accessible as it is adventurous.
Internationally revered Middle Eastern party crew, Disco Tehran, joins the party in our actual boiler room from 1932 hosting a 4 hours of dance music with Mirza & Bergsonist. Local duo Salt Cathedral will join us for a special early live acoustic set to kick things off.
From midnight to 8am, we launch into a cosmic space of ravey & eclectic music that will keep you dancing all night long into the morning. Come early or arrive late if you have plans in the beginning of this holiday evening... we have very special after-hours music programming, curated by some of NYC's best underground crews, where you can expect all things acid, Detroit, minimal, techno, and on.
