9th November 2021 Skodde released their debut EP "Reotrospect" marking the beginning of Flux Collective both as a label and an event-series.
A bit more than 2 months later Naboklage released his debut EP "Brått" with the infamous release-party in the soon to be demolished villa at Slemdal breaking every covid-recommendation at the time (Which technically were just recommendations).
Since then, Anémi, Bjerregaard, Pyramiden (Espen Iden), Betong, Deril, Alsén and Ardt made their artist debut either with their own EP or as part of a one of our two compilation Albums. We've also had already established local talent such as Takt, Monodogue, TRUSSEL, Fredrik Bekkaasen, Vibeke Bruff, Nattl4mpe and Fochs Koshka featured on the label, totalling 16 releases to this day!
Looking back, it's hard to imagine how the scene in Oslo would look today without a label pushing Oslo based producers and DJs to experiment and develop the post-pandemic rave sound of Oslo. Not only have we provided a platform for local producers to take their first steps, we have also exported the Oslo sound to the world, being played at radio, podcasts, clubs and even catwalks both nationally and internationally. Even that famous german club has played our tunes, which is both very exciting and extremely corny to mention!
In addition to our 16 releases, we've had something close to 100 parties, where local talent has had their debut as alongside international techno legends. Through our events we have established a bridge between Oslo and the rest of the world. Lately, this exchange has also extended to the label, featuring a mix of Oslo-based and international artists, with the goal of putting Oslo on the map internationally.
We are very excited, proud thankful for of all the DJs, producers, venues, designers and A/V we have worked with! We look forward to everything coming, and we will continue with the same passion, hard work and boldness moving forward!
To mark our 2 year anniversary, we will have a party at Jaeger, where there will be some yet undisclosed physical manifestations of Flux Collective. Come say hi!
