On Friday, December 1st, join Liminal Collective's co-founders Chillosophy and baby-g in welcoming Sammy on the next Leg of his journey. This will be his first set in New York! He's poised to deliver his undeniably unique style at TBA Brooklyn. How do you even begin to describe it? Psy-tech-avant-jazzy-break-house? Whatever you call it, it's absolute bouncy, squiggly fun.
baby-g and Chillosophy will shape the night with their complementary dark, groovy & psychedelic sounds. Their party-partnership was sparked serendipitously in the midst of a dust storm and now they animate dancefloors in tag-team fashion.
Sammy Legs
Sammy Legs didn’t have it easy. Born without direction or purpose, he traveled the world to find his groove. He snagged a sprinkle of jazz and a slice of techno as he slid through Berlin. He wiggled his way through San Francisco, one leg shaking to hyphy, the other to house. He flowed through the Southern California desert, squeezing psy and breakbeat between his sandy toes.
Sammy’s production weaves elements of house, breakbeat and halftime throughout a track, peppering rhythmic switch-ups in every pocket. His textured grooves and unconventional turns offer an element of surprise to those who listen. He is 2 parts artist, 3 parts scientist, and 5 parts absolutely bonkers. But that’s okay. That’s just how he grooves.
