Import/Export and Jolene team up to bring two leading lights of their generation to Brooklyn, with support from an all-star cast.
Maayan Nidam is a producer, musician, and record label owner based in Berlin, Germany. The majority of Nidam’s work has come on the Perlon label but she has also released on Luciano’s Cadenza, Raum Music, New York’s Wolf + Lamb Music, and Trip, the label of Nina Kraviz. As a DJ, she’s compiled studio mixes for prominent online music sites such as Resident Advisor, and performed across Europe, the Americas, Australasia, and Asia. She’s a club resident at Tresor in Berlin. She is also the driving force behind the live act, THE WAVES.
Julien Veniel, artist name D’Julz, is a gifted curator of music based in Paris, France. His pedigree has earned him a loyal international following. A resident for the last 7 years at the infamous Circoloco party (DC10) he has taken charge of the world-renowned red terrace room several times each summer season. Each set demonstrates his uncanny ability to weave his penchant for dub elements into the house and techno sphere and rocking the floor with potent groove and sultry rhythms. His music has been signed to some of the world’s finest underground labels – Circus Company, Robsoul, Ovum, Rekids and more. As his Bass Culture label goes from strength to strength, clocking over 60 releases, he recently started a new label called JV recordings with the Yoyaku crew.
