Welcome to the second edition of our 2023/2024 Kino Grande season. Up next, we welcome Claire Morgan back from Germany and into the hands of Byron Bay, accompanied with Breakfast Club host and founder, JMCEE fresh from the graces of Melbourne.
CLAIRE MORGAN (AUS/GER)
From throbbing electro and industrial at Berlin’s iconic fetish parties to ambient odysseys in cathedrals, to ten hour closing sets in Berghain armed with the full spectrum of colourful and adventurous techno, Claire's exceptional range and skills shine in a myriad of DJ settings.
Fluid and fierce, Claire forges unexpected and lithe connections between genres to create a dance floor experience that is intelligent, mind-bending and deeply cathartic.

Claire began her musical life as a multi-instrumentalist and composer, performing her first original piano piece at age 11 at the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei. She went on to study orchestral composition and work as a professional film and TV composer in Sydney. This background has nurtured a deep affinity for melody, harmonic progression and mercurial soundscapes, culminating in a unique sonic style and musical language that is strikingly cinematic and completely her own.

Having been raised in Melbourne’s red light district, amidst the poetry of St.Kilda’s post punk scene, Jmcee was always destined for a life of music and subversion.
Having now spent over 15 years connecting a lifetime of love for funk and hip hop with his chosen world of 4/4 dancefloors, the result is a musical fusion quietly achieving acclaim on the floors of festivals throughout Australia and much of Europe.
Post Covid and 2022 saw Jmcee back on the European festival circuit with bookings from Fusion (Bachstelzen), Waking Life and Garbicz to name but a few, as well as headline club shows in Poland, Napoli, Thessaloniki, Lisbon, Zurich, Mykonos, Istanbul, Barcelona and Berlin.
Now being able to boast such a diverse and respected list of bookings across much of the planet, Jmcee stands out as one of the most accomplished and understated Djs to come out of Melbourne for quite some time
