another spaghetti grotto is upon us… we’ve decided, and we hope you agree, that the grotto should be an annual get together. so on thursday 21st december we will gather friends, family, lovers and doggos one last time to send off this diabolical year, set some solstice intentions and stuff our faces with spaghetti.
if you were there last year, you know the deal ~ it’ll be much the same warm relaxed vibe at the cosy haven that is SET social, which we’re sure most of you are familiar with by now.
we’ll have the finest musical selections from local heroes SOFIE K, SOPHIE FARRELL, MARÍN & JEROME and RAGGAMUFFIN, a market of arts, crafts & edibles for all you last minute present buyers, badge making with conscious creator extraordinaires F.A.T. studio x holobiont, many a festive sprinkling, and of course, fresh pasta by naughty nonna for all.
this year 50% of takings will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
it’s a strange time to be putting on events but maybe as vital as it's ever been to be getting around our friends and pushing forward important conversations. don’t forget that fundraisers are not a one stop shop for engagement in the ongoing genocide we are witnessing or the resistance, and should be just one part of our support efforts in the immediate moment where political pressure is the most crucial thing. keep writing to your MP, keep marching, keep organising, keep making noise, keep calling our government out on it’s complicity and keep momentum high.

animali is a space to let loose, be silly, be welcome. animali will always encompass music, visual arts, interactivities and free treats, encouraging people to connect with each other and their creative selves.
SET social is a members club (for licensing purposes), and although you do not need to become a member to attend this event, we strongly encourage you to sign up and support your new local grassroots venue. membership is only £8 a year, and payable on your first visit (not including animali!). the SET website is linked below.
