Francisco José Perez is known in the Berlin art scene as TOTEM.
A theatre actor and stage designer by training, he lives and works in Berlin (Kreuzberg) since 2002.
His studio 'Subsuelo' is a gallery, meeting place and exhibition venue.
His art forms include painting, installations, light objects, sculptures and working with recycled materials, as well as large-scale murals in public spaces.
His works have been exhibited in many countries: in Mexico, Chile, France, Spain, Slovenia, Hungary and Germany.
