Sunday Open Air with Mystic Bill (Chicago/Miami)

  • Miami export and cult favorite Mystic Bill makes his return. Cutting his teeth in Chicago and emerging as a prominent figure of their second wave, Bill held early residencies at renowned venues such as Smartbar and saw releases on seminal labels, like his full-length album with Trax Records, as well as an EP for Cajmere's Relief and a compilation track on DJ Hell's International DeeJay Gigolo Records. His influence extends far and wide, inspiring DJs like Black Madonna, Kink, Axel Boman, and Matrixxman, as a leading proponent in vintage and future Chicago/Detroit sounds. Bill's sonic palette is diverse, ranging from contemporary techno and acid to hidden gems of house and Italo disco. His style has proven timeless with recent output on Classic Music Company, Dark Entries, and Snuff Trax, as well as remixes and productions licensed by Defected and Strictly Rhythm. In addition to his monthly and weekly residencies in Miami, Bill makes regular appearances at Space, III Points Festival, was a fixture at the former Electric Pickle, and has graced establishments across the US and overseas that include frequenting Panorama Bar as well as stops at Marble Bar, House of Yes, public records, Nowadays, Flash, and Hot Mass for Honcho. For this St. Pete rendezvous, he'll be joined by our residents Austen van der Bleek and Christian Parchuke along with the Keane Brothers. Location TBA!
