For August bank holiday weekend, Superfreq has something super especial for you.
For the first time, Superfreq opens up a second room on the 32nd floor of Paramount in the luxury bar / restaurant space which will feature all things disco. This is as well as the usual 31st floor where we have a stella line up for you once again.
In the Superfreq E'special room we welcome back the amazing DJ Three from Hallucination Ltd NYC after he absolutely smashed if for us last year. Chris Milo as DJ Three is one of Americas best loved DJ's & spins at the best clubs in America & beyond & never fails to raise the roof with his party style sets. Chris is also a proper party animal so do expect him to get right involved again.
Next comes Eddie Richards who needs no introduction to London or to Superfreq after he completely rocked the house at the London Legends E'special back in April. Eddie was so good that we have to bring him back on a regular basis, which is why he's spinning for us again so soon. This is the guy that made all the difference in the 80's in making this scene we know & love happen, Eddie is the DJ's DJ & was the main inspiration for a young Mr.C in becoming a DJ in 1987. Eddie hit the pop charts with Acid Man in 1988 as the Jolly Roger as well as producing music for The Shamen. His own productions & DJ skills are what helped to shape the Tech House movement into what it is today!
These two amazing DJ's will of course be joining residents Mr.C & Luke vB.
In the SuperDiscoFreq room we welcome back our annual guest DJ Garth who will again wow us with his own very unique & quirky take on all things Disco. DJ Garth, originally from London, hails from San Francisco where he’s helped to create a scene that is renowned the world over. His Grayhound imprint has over the years provided us with some amazing house & techno that has been revolutionary in the rise & rise of West coast house music.
Next comes the excellent James Priestley who again is a person who needs no introduction to the London house scene as he's co-promoter of Secretsundaze & is main man behind Camp in Shoreditch. His events are of course some of the best parties London’s ever seen. At this event, James will be performing for us a very special disco set so expect to hear the grooviest music imaginable from this turntable wizard.
Next comes our SuperDiscoFreq London resident, the wonderfully talented Femi B. Femi has more than been around the block a few times having been a producer & promoter with Mr.C back in the early 90's & being co-organizer of the infamous Feel Real Parties. Femi is a DJ that personifies class with his silky smooth mixing & the most soulful grooves & will be giving us a real treat mixing up New York Garage & old school disco in a way Larry Levan would have been proud.
Of course, last but by no means least, Mr.C will be playing a 2nd set spinning 70's & Italo disco with a smattering of 80's thrown in for good measure.
This event is a must for anyone who's been brought up on Soul, Funk, Disco, Garage, Deep House, House, Acid & Techno. It will be an education in the history of our music for younger revelers & a throw back to amazing times passed for the old codgers amongst us!
