Following the release of volume 8 earlier this year, Calibre is taking over KOKO to celebrate his iconic Shelflife album series. This show will traverse Calibre's effervescent sound palette of ambient, dub, acid, house, techno, dubstep, drum&bass and beyond accompanied by a transfixing light show.
Visuals will be provided by Melissa Santamaría. Melissa uses synaesthesia to illustrate psychedelic visuals for musicians. The Mexico City-born creative imagines the colours of a song and translates them into dynamic artworks for the likes of Flying Lotus, Nubya Garcia, Hiatus Kaiyote and more.
For the Calibre Shelflife Koko show. Melissa will be be proving supporting visuals and lighting that’ integrates some of Calibre’s own artwork.
