Illusion Of Safety’s Dan Burke and Thomas Dimuzio combine forces pushing sonics and music to higher, darker realms. Why is space dark? There is nothing until we venture out, extending a limb to see photons from a star splintering into our eyes. Or we might creep as blind sound through space, spontaneous visceral vibrations in volume, pushing the envelope, attack, the decay and decimation sounding the darkness. Since 1983 when Burke first stepped into the moniker Illusion of Saftey, he has pushed the limits of electronic sound synthesis and composition. At that limit, he discovered Dimuzio emerging as an extragalatic quasar, Buchlas ablaze on a long arc crashcourse with The Peacock Lounge!

Natural: penguin bones, driftwood, stones, feathers; Physical: gravity, friction, resonance, and kinesis; Imaginary: breath and circuitry making unimaginable sounds real via plotted electricity. Gabby Wen mainly works with sound in the form of improvisation and composition, focusing on the immediate corporal response to each sonic event, intentional or accidental, audible or inaudible, of its evolving/decaying physical existence and manifestation in time during playing. If you get right down, cheek to ground, you'll notice that Wen levitates ever so slightly, only a little so as not to alarm mere mortals.
