Electronic bubble bath with Oneohtrix Point Never
Behind the artist name, Oneohtrix Point Never, is American songwriter and producer Daniel Lopatin, who has been releasing strange electronic experiments of new age, noise, ambient and vaporwave since 2007.
Oneohtrix Point Never released his tenth solo album this year under the title Again. In the press material, he describes his new album as a "speculative autobiography" and "an illogical period piece" where memory and imagination merge to form something entirely new.
The album cover is a sculpture created by artist and writer Matias Faldbakken, conceptualised with Daniel Lopatin and photographed by Vegard Kleven. Music magazine Flood wrote in their rave review of the album:
"After the focus on 2020's psychedelically spirited Magic, his tenth album, Again, marries a handful of his past styles, soulful vibes, and sample tricks into one future-forward, frothing, fluid stream of sound surrounding what he himself has called "a speculative autobiography" with ties to previous works and worries."
On the album, listeners can hear contributions from Sonic Youth members Lee Ranaldo and Jim O'Rourke, who send dreamy and noisy cascades of guitar over the electronically-fuelled tracks.

For her appearance, Oklou will be presenting a unique experimental DJ set, Oklou’s MP3s where she digs into her digital archive. This is not the first time the two artists have been affiliated; in December 2022 they got together to host a 2 hour show for Bottega Radio on NTS. With influences ranging from experimental ambient to electronica and R’n’B, Oklou’s mixtape ‘Galore’ in 2020 garnered much attention internationally, with collaborations from Shygirl, Sega Bodega and AG Cook to name a few.
