  • Set times for the weekends are published every Friday noon at www.blitz. club. EN Marie Davidson is one of those truly great lateral entrants to DJing and Club music. She has earned and received her merits as a producer and live performer and with her singular and sarcastic blend of Electroclash, New Wave & Techno. It wasn’t too long ago that she discovered DJing, but she pretty much instantly played with stunning results. There’s an engrossing curiosity to be heard in all of her mixes, and she develops a unique storytelling in a time, when most DJs have committed to playing the en vogue brand of hard, fast and funky Edit-Techno. For Marie Davidson, it’s an essential – but never the only! – part of a musical puzzle that’s formed on her New-Wave and Postpunk roots and stretches from Electroclash, Kraut, Wave, Disco to Trance and Techno. A refreshing burst of colour in a more and more uniform scene and thus a must-see. She’s in good company with more extraordinary artists on the BLITZ Floor tonight: Detroit veteran DJ Stingray serves more of the lethal razor-sharp Electro-Grooves at breakneck speed, Jonas Friedlich plays idiosyncratic grooves from Bass to Techno and literally everything you could imagine with a healthy amount of wit and humour. Sharing an equally classy form of musical humour is Bae Bade from Dortmund: another young and stimulating voice who plays state-of-the-art dirty & driving dance funk with Hip-Hop influences at the sweet spot of levity. Munich’s Orbital Reflector collective curate of our PLUS floor tonight opens the door to a world of enlightening out-of-the-box expression in today’s world of (underground) club music. They’ve invited Belgium‘s underground institution Nosedrip, the artist behind the dazzling STROOM imprint to join them. With its focus on overlooked and undiscovered curiosities of the past, it comes as no surprise that Ziggy Devriendt is a bone-fide DJ too. Whatever you’ll hear tonight: it’s going to be expertly curated. Same goes for Mika Ori: the French-japanese multidisciplinary artist draws vivid inspiration from many sources and her multicolored mixes are able to connect heady dream worlds with sturdy & low-end heavy rhythms and many more musical directions for truly mind-melting trips. The enigmatic Zwist doesn’t share too much about his endeavors, but his dim yet differentiated mixes foreshadow great things, quite simply. PLEASE RESPECT OUR NO PHOTO POLICY! NO PHONES ON THE DANCE FLOORS! BE WHO YOU ARE! LOVE IS THE MESSAGE! Marie Davidson is one of those truly great lateral entrants to DJing and Club music.
