Have you ever wondered who the person making you dance behind the decks is? What their connection to the music they play is and who they are when they are not selecting and blending for your soul’s & feet’s pleasure?
Our mission is to connect the curious music lover with the real human behind the decks or electronic “music weapon of choice”. The idea of "The Story Behind" is all about getting up close and personal with these beings, knowing a little more and feeling a little more connected bringing that house party feel. We are spotlighting local talent in Berlin (and other cities), bringing their tales to life through interviews, articles and video snippets, and stirring up the DJ scene with a vibrant London-Berlin connection. Kengo Oshima: Not just a co-founder of 4 to the Floor collective in London, Kengo is a father, a bass virtuoso with nearly two decades of electrifying dance floors. Kengo's got the groove that makes the room move, we know this because he’s not only a badass DJ he can dance on shoes and roller skates too! As Moodymanc if you don’t believe us…
Kajsa: From the dance studios of the Western coast of Sweden to the pulsating clubs of London & Berlin, Kajsa's journey is nothing short of inspiring. A trained professional dancer turned DJ – she's the embodiment of rhythm and grace. Here is someone who used Covid times as Lemons to make Lemonade (DJ skillz).
Mosebo (formerly Eddie Boi):The name Mosebo actually means “bow and arrow” and is a tribal given name from a South African tribe (Ba-Pedi). Mosebo, A DJ/Producer, a storyteller is also a self proclaimed “dad’s jokes teller”. He is a programmer & coach by day. With an impressive discography and a passion for jazz (Mosebo is learning keys), you can look forward to his sets that blend spoken word with house.
GridFlow: The real real local on the lineup and the only one who speaks German fluently, GridFlow is a rhythm master of gospel and soul-infused keys and tunes. Trained in Graphic design, GridFlow is a real artist with an abundance of talent. On the night, he will showcase a short yet memorable live set on his home & self built unit.
