Sally C - All Night Long
If recent times have taught us anything, it’s that Sally C ain’t messing about. The Belfast-born, Berlin-based DJ has stamped herself as one of the most exciting new artists on the scene thanks largely to her inspired selector skills. With a deep passion for vintage house that crosses the gamut of hip house, acid and breakbeat, right up to future-facing techno and electro rollers, she has developed a knack for selecting timeless, slept on classics that deserve the shine her sets bring.
Proudly independent, she launched her own imprint Big Saldo’s Chunkers in 2020 inspired by the golden era of hip house and the sounds of ‘88 – ‘98 and Black innovators such as Fast Eddie, Tyree and the late great K-Hand, whose trailblazing music has impacted her so heavily. To date original productions such as ‘Let’s Get This’ and ‘Downtown’ have established themselves as enduring classics, thanks to Sally’s vision and commitment to crafting tracks that adhere to her three crucial production principles – a chunky bassline, banging drums and a trippy vocal. “That’s the holy trinity! Simplicity is key - less is always more,” says Sally.
