Breaking Capacity, Planetqueer and L3ftfield are joining forces to present Circuit Breakers, a party focused on the many iterations of the breakbeat.
Feb 2 @ Trans Pecos we’ll be breaking circuits and rearranging them all nite long. We’ve invited our favorite DJ/ producer combos for a night of unreleased tracks, forward thinking, genre-breaking DJ sets, and live hardware performances.
Each set will stay connected in the roots of their genres, personal experiences, while exploring the limits of DnB, jungle, footwork, Jersey and Bmore club, dubstep + moreee. We’re excited have DJ sets from DJ Ripley (Subversion (PHL)), wahala.wav (Slick Down), Janus Rose (Delusional Records), and a B2B from Alex Viper (Tackycardia) and MF Butch (Planetqueer).
There’s more: we’ll also have two special live hardware sets from Anito Soul (Planetqueer & 8ball) and PlayPlay (Breaking Capacity, Sorry Records).
We’re offering sliding scale tickets with NOTALOF, and if you are in the place to do so, we also have donor tickets to help support someone else’s ticket <3

planetqueer
planetqueer is a NYC collective fostering opportunities for queer DJ’s to unapologetically be themselves and engage with their creativity. we organize dance parties, open decks, and skill-shares to build community support and connections. through these events, we aim to break down barriers to self-expression in electronic music, contribute to mutual aid to dismantle systems of oppression that contribute to it, and inspire harmony with one another and the environment.
L3FTFIELD (est. 2019) platforms artists pushing experimental beats of all kinds whether that’s genrefluid sets, new sounds, or forgotten ones. In a music scene where artists are confined by expectations and branding, we encourage them to play whatever represents what they’re most passionate about at the time.
