Alpha-ville is the new London Festival of Digital Arts, Music and Culture. This year we have prepared a groundbreaking programme featuring live electronic music, live audio-visual performances, live cinema, screenings, interactive installations and more.
Day 2 is dedicated to LIVE CINEMA: an evening of live electronic music and real time graphics, including an exquisite commission with Pixel from Raster Noton.
For this audio-visual night we have prepared a top end visual and sound equipments to deliver some of the most cutting edge live shows - not to miss.
Expect performances from the cartoon universe of innovative French duet Gangpol & Mit ///// an impressive UK premiere from Nikka & Alba G. Corral, the Barcelona based collaborators who present real time processing graphics with live electronic music.
++ the UK’s very own Zan Lyons whose performances are sure to be the most sensory and challenging you will ever witness.
Finally, to close the festival, we are proud to present an exclusive collaboration between the man behind Alpha-ville’s visual identiy, Paris-based digital artist Graphset (Mikka Doczekalski) and Pixel (Jon Egeskov), a pioneer of the German electronic music label Raster Noton. This innovative Live Cinema experience, entitled ‘Visionary City’, will present an exploration of the construction of a 3D virtual city and its surrounding environment – an aural and visual feast of intense landscapes and textures fused in realtime.
In addition to the live performances, the evening of 18th September will see Rich Mix transformed into a creative space with an “inspiration lab” – an area between design, interaction, music and technology. The space will feature Ableton, Novation, the new Yamaha Tenori-on as well as the exciting ipod/ipad based sound installations and interactive musical experience by Reactify Music & RjDj.
And after this show join us for to an after party in Hackney Wick.
