On February 16th, BASSIANI presents Frankfurt Techno pioneer Chris Liebing, a DJ, producer, radio host, and the driving force behind the CLR label. His DJ sets have been fast-paced and immersive, like physical workouts, though in more recent years, they have tended towards a deeper, hybrid approach of layering multiple recordings into something unique. His selection draws from a comprehensive knowledge of the techno genre and its history, while the releases, either on his own CLR or iconic Mute records, continue to shape modern electronic music. Bassil, the enigmatic techno producer, delves into the realms of inner consciousness and environmental influences in his work. Through the thunderous rhythms, he creates a surreal atmosphere evocative of cyborgs, mutants, and the worlds of science fiction. The genuine techno artist Zitto is joining forces with BMI, a prolific producer with numerous avant-garde projects whose contributions have significantly impacted the trajectory of modern Tbilisi techno, and charismatic Nebbieri, fearlessly blending techno, electro, and breakbeat to compose a dramaturgically rigorous story inspired by the music and social issues simultaneously. HOROOM features a genre-defying DJ and producer, influential Ritmo Fatale label founder Kendal, known for his timeless productions and sets, created under the "No Past, No Present, No Future" attitude, where the flesh merges with the machine. Kendal blends italo-disco with EBM, trance, and synth-wave to bring euphoria and nostalgia to the dancefloor and create a unique sound full of emotion with haunting melodies that speak of the past and the future. Horoom resident and highly regarded figure in the queer scene, Sophie Phare, known for her rebellious visions and boundless energy, will turn the dance floor into a true celebration, joined by euphoric and eclectic Olly, contributing to the high-spirited atmosphere of the night.
