Renowned as the dynamic emcee of Afrofusion kings K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade and jazz fusionists TC & The Groove Family, Franz Von now introduces his electrifying hip-hop afrofusion ensemble. This well-established artist blends live drums, keyboard, MPC, and bass guitar with his lyrical prowess, creating a dynamic and high-energy show with his 4-piece ensemble. Franz Von’s fusion of Jamaican dancehall MCing, classic boom-bap hip-hop rap style, and the live energy of his band has captivated audiences across the UK. With previous support from BBC Introducing Sheffield, Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing at Radio 1, DJ Target at BBC 1Xtra, Ministry of Sound, Naga Mag, Word Is Bond, Groovin’ Mood, and more, Franz Von has solidified his presence in the music scene. Born in Jamaica and now based in the UK, he explores traditional cultural lineage from Africa to modern genres. After 8 years with K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade, Franz Von has collaborated with notable artists such as Tony Allen, Onipa, and Wiyaala. Following the success of pre-released singles ‘Her Frequency’ and ‘Power Be You’, his latest EP ‘PEOPLE DI POWA’ has arrived right on time.
