The expanse of dance music is endless and the line up tonight does dizzying work of parsing its many rhythms, tones and textures through prismatic, hypnotic sets. On top, Arlenys, the Bronx-born Berlin-based DJ and resident of Queer feminist hard dance series Dynamic Events, dives right in with her signature blend of groovy techno, shimmering acid and mesmeric trance. LOLSNAKE, visual artist and founder of the queer platform and soon-to-be-label Weeeirdos, runs a similar track, letting their wide-eared curiosity steer them through cosmic bleeps, icy-cold techno, ethereal trance and beyond. Capping it off, Discwoman co-founder, Bossa res and Paragon family member, Umfang promises a set built upon unexpected turns, undefinable shapes, and chaotic bliss. Down below, MoMA Ready and Donis pull inspiration from the African Diasporic sounds of NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Jersey, Baltimore and further in mind-altering sets.
