Kicking things off the right way in 2024!
At STRUCTURE our aim is to always bring you the best quality techno that there is to offer. We take this occasion to host a night that celebrates diversity, talent and the unstoppable force of women in the electronic music scene.
Bringing some of the hottest talent at the moment to The Pickle Factory -the spearhead of Room Trax - BLANKA, co-founder of Spectrum - Lea Occhi, and the scene's rising star - Kessie, will dictate the tempo through the night.
BLANKA - A beacon of the next wave in techno, BLANKA originates from Córdoba, Spain and is currently based in Berlin. Her Spanish origins infuse her style with hints of warm, exotic landscapes, twisted with sonic patterns that will mesmerise any crowd.
Together with her partner Angioma, she spearheads Room Trax, a label and multidisciplinary event series igniting both Berlin and Barcelona scenes. As a skilled DJ and producer, she has released on eminent labels like Setaoc Mass's SK_eleven and Slam’s enduring Soma Records, validating her studio prowess.
BLANKA’s talent has been widely noticed in the techno scene, leading to invitations to perform at global institutions including Berlin's Berghain, Tresor, Fabrik Madrid, Elysia Basel, Radion/ Bret/ Lofi in Amsterdam, Garbicz Festival - just to name a few. Her path is full of sure promise, a sign of a bright future ahead.
Kessie - After nearly a decade of experimentation in electronic music, Leeds/London-based Kessie has developed a distinct sound.
Being hard of hearing, Kessie’s relationship with audio is a physical and vibrational one, reflected in her thumping off-kilter selections and intricate mixing.
After a 12-months which has seen her play at Fold, Berghain and many more of Europe’s most celebrated and respected clubs then, expect to see Kessie’s penchant for the raw and cathartic in a dark room near you soon.
Lea Occhi - Where words fail, music speaks. Reserved and solitary, Léa found refuge in music since her childhood. Jazz, soul music or French chansons, family moments usually came and still come hand in hand with music and sharing the joint, somewhat meditative listening experience.
An ardent curiosity for Electronic Music started rising in her high school days, pushing her towards broadening her musical horizon and consequently DJing in parallel to her fashion and design studies.
Léa is also at the forefront of promoting women in the Parisian electronic scene. Further commitments go as far as donating parts of the Spectrum earnings to different associations close to her heart such as aid to migrants and refugees, LGBTQIA+ associations or the fight against HIV. Through her collective, she has managed to create a perfect balance between her own desires, ambitions and her fundamental values. Name the unnameable, communicate the unknowable.
Her sets stand out for their sharp selection and absolute coherence. A mental, groovy Techno fueled by organic, tribal elements – widely reverberating in its uniqueness and class. The creation of an intimate atmosphere and cohesion in each of her sets makes them stand out, and equally so does the implementation of feelings and emotions while at the same time following a rather minimalistic approach in the music itself.
