FLOW and Martian Moves are back on Saturday 24th February for the third installment of the club series taking Oxford by storm.
Upstairs, FLOW welcomes a mainstay of London's underground house and techno scene, Jade Seatle. Jade is a master with a trademark buoyant style of house and techno, weaving together a hypnotic groove perfect for the peak time energy associated with FLOW. She is well respected on the underground scene, best known for running her own party, Night Moves, with longstanding collaborator Jane Fitz. Recent performances across Europe's finest clubs and festivals such as Houghton have cemented her reputation as a world-class selector. Her mix for Butter Side Up, released last year, gives a flavour of what to expect. We are proud to welcome Jade to Oxford, not just as a DJ, but as someone that puts community at the heart of her approach to dance music.
She is joined on the night by FLOW friend Charlie Stoker, a young talent known for forming the top-quality club series Scenes in Birmingham. Originally hailing from Oxford, Charlie's skilled and detailed approach to Dj'ing blends early 00s progressive house sounds, teched-out cuts, and rolling grooves into a cohesive journey. You can catch him warming up the floor from midnight, before Jade takes us on a 3-hour journey til close. Once again this will be an all-vinyl foray, powered by the constantly expanding FLOW soundsystem.
Downstairs, Martian Moves continue their phenomenal streak of high energy parties in Oxford by welcoming their first guest bookings to the floor: MU$H and Jamurai. Cutting his teeth in the underground Manchester scene, Teledubs boss MU$H has been showcasing his eclectic dance floor heat, channeling iconic Detroit flavours of electro and ghetto tech, combined with the latin grooves of baile and guarracha. Joining him on the night is another Leeds-based Sector selector Jamurai bringing her slamming style of UK Bass, Funky and Garage that has seen her on lineups alongside the likes of Joy Orbison and Fliss Mayo. You can be sure that the pair will bring their A-game for their Oxford debuts.
As always with Martian Moves, you can expect an eclectic, high energy dance sound, dismissing trends and conventions for a youthful, care-free party environment reminiscent of the early days of rave. This time on a bigger rig, you can expect a full and warm sound across both floors, resulting in an expansive, multi-storey party experience not to be missed!
Tickets start from £5 going up to £10 OTD. Doors open from 10:30, last entry is 2am for a 4am finish. Don't forget your ID, bring your best energy and be respectful to each other.
