Dollop present Strutton Street Warehouse Closing Party

  • //EVENT UPDATE// We have some good news and some bad news to announce for our event on Saturday….. For some reason Hackney Council have decided to issue a ‘Stop Notice’ for our warehouse, meaning events can no longer carry on there, even for the last weekend. We have tried to contest this issue, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do. The good news is, we have managed to transfer the event to the CAMP basement on City Road, which is just around the corner. It’s a little smaller, and we have to close slightly earlier - but the main thing for us is that this event goes ahead in some capacity. Also CAMP is almost a warehouse, so it makes sense for us to keep it going there. All tickets will instantly transfer over to the new venue. We still have a few left for sale, at the tiny price of £5. //EVENT UPDATE// After two years and countless parties by the likes of Trailer Trash, Durrr, Bugged Out!, Stag & Dagger, Vice, Twat Boutique, Fact Magazine and many more, the Scrutton Street Warehouse - variously known as Black Lotus Karate Club and Scrutton Street Studios - is opening it's doors for one final party before closing permanently to make way for redevelopment. To celebrate it's run as one of Shoreditch's best loved underground venues, dollop - who hosted the very first party at Scrutton Street in February 2009 - have put together a staggering line-up of forward thinking Techno, House & Electronica headlined by Ivan Smagghe. Now based in Dalston, one of France’s most respected exports Ivan Smagghe has always been at the cutting edge of electronic dance music. From his early work as one half of electroclash pioneers Black Strobe, to the more recent launch of the highly acclaimed It’s A Fine Line. Ivan has focused on pushing boundaries whilst maintaining a fixed root on the dance floor. Kill The Dj is his record label, highlighting a varied musical taste with artists ranging from Joakim, Pilooski to Battant and Optimo. Thomas Von Party hosts the Turbo Recordings podcast and has toured extensively with his big brother Tiga; equally comfortable alongside hard edged electro guys like Boys Noize and Digitalism as he is tripping out with techno journeymen Konrad Black or Jori Hulkkonen. Von Party is joined by label-mate Matt Walsh, whose residencies at Bugged Out! and T Bar have allowed him to tour the world with his trademark sound of House and Techno through to New Wave, Acid House and Disco. With a supporting cast that includes Nathan G Wilkins (History Clock / Boombox), Miloo Smee (Chrome Hoof / Kruton), Feeding Time, Russ Tannen (Fuck The Whiteboard), dollop djs, a capacity strictly limited to 400 and minute advance price of £5; this will doubtlessly be one of the most sought after tickets in Shoreditch this August Bank Holiday.
