  • Those who have seen Copenhagen based Anders Trentemøller live know about his fascinating ability to draw the audience completely into his world of sound which is misty, mysteriously grooving and empathetic. Danceable melancholy, you could say. Stylistically, Trentemøller interweaves electro with shoegaze, synth and dreampop, sometimes instrumental, sometimes with hand-picked guest singers. His most recent album, "Memoria", was released in 2022 and features new wave influences in songs such as "Dead Or Alive" and "No More Kissing In The Rain". This time around, more than half of the tracks on the record are purely instrumental. In an interview, Trentemøller said: "I'm still a big fan of instrumental music. It's such a beautiful way of expressing feelings. Straight to the heart without restrictions. And my music has that cinematic approach that instrumental music also has." His live concerts are particularly inspiring because Trentemøller not only relies on atmospheric lighting and visuals, but performs together with a band that will bring the nuances of his music with precision to the stage. On his new tour, which will also take him to Munich, Berlin and Cologne starting in mid-November, he will be joined by Disa Jakobs (vocals, guitar, synths), Silas Tinglef (drums, guitar), Brian Batz (guitar), Jacob Haubjerg (bass) and, of course, the mastermind behind it all: Anders Trentemøller on synths.
