It’s been a rough six months adjusting into our current global reality, which keeps degenerating as each day passes by and we are left clinging onto glimmers of hope and light – the solidarity of our community, setting clear boundaries, creating the change we want to see, standing up and speaking out loud about what we believe in.
From the darkness we aim into the light and remind ourselves why we came here in the first place. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
Lunchbox Candy is no exception, and despite feeling the despair, it is vital that our community stays strong and shows up. Now is the time to come closer together, join forces, interact and communicate and dream-up a new way of existing with one another and with our precious planet, creating pockets of safety and sanity wherever we can.
Thankfully our spirit is still intact, and our sense of humour needs a little nudge…slowly slowly getting there.
Well now, after our 5-month winter hiatus, we are back at ÆDEN on March 16th to reconnect with our humanity, vitality, sexuality, inner-child playfulness, radical self-expression and we are ready to celebrate our queerness to the max!
While we’ve been hibernating, our friends over at ÆDEN have been busy building a solid second dancefloor which is now fully functional with an incredible sound system.
The Candy Flip is now a tangible reality, and it will be pumping all night long with a delicious line-up of DJs adding new and wonderful flavours to our beautifully twisted Lunchbox.
We are super stoked to be presenting Emergent Bass’, Sarah Farina with her unique blend of queer rainbow bass, Rafush’s sexy afro-futuristic dubby expeditions and Katerinha’s global nuggets of exotic delights.
Back to the Lunchbox Candy floor, we are welcoming Tanja Alison – who impressed us with their punchy and bouncy DJ Mix via our DJ Call out – and now they are opening the space for us and warming things up for a night of transcendence.
We are also excited to have ābnamā (DUMP, Body Language) who will be playing a vinyl set and is sure to bring the house down, with their selections of seductive hypnotic grooves that always pack in a punch and take you to unexpected realms.
Finally our resident DJs and curators – Elninodiablo, Adam Munnings, Queen Sudhara and DJ Petite will be bringing their discerning eclectics selections that are becoming synonymous with the Lunchbox Candy sound, taking in all the shades and colours of electronic dance music, to literally take you on an unforgettable trip. Buckle up!
