VIA is Pittsburgh's first-annual music and new media festival presenting a weekend of performances by musicians, DJs and producers blurring genres of electronic music, alongside visual artists working at the forefront of video, game design and live music visualization.
Featuring over 40 local and international artists, VIA performances will merge various genres of electronic music with video, game design and live music visualization. Opening day events on Friday, October 1, are free and open to the public and include artist workshops in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University. Saturday, October 2 features over 20 hours of performances across 2 stages in Pittsburgh's historic Iron City Brewery packing warehouse. Closing performances will be presented at the Lawrenceville Moose Lodge on Sunday, October 3.
Saturday and Sunday ticked events will be 18 and over. 250 Super Early Bird tickets will be available online, starting August 9 at 12 p.m. at ShowClix (http://www.showclix.com). Saturday-only general admission begins at $35, Sunday-only at $20, or weekend package for $47.
All other advance tickets will be available at ShowClix through October 1 and select Pittsburgh retailers.
