Lauren Murada, Party Dad, and XANDER will be packing the Jupiter Disco booth with stax of wax to make your body move in weird ways you didn’t know were possible of February 23.
Entry is free before 11pm or $10 after.
*LAUREN MURADA*
Lauren Murada has been an essential part of the New York disco scene for almost a decade as a resident of Good Room with her party Love Games, as a record selector with L&L&L Record Club and regular host of The Lot Radio. A true digger with a record collection that is always growing, in one night she could play anything from diva disco to classic 90s house, italo to funk rock, proto-house to freestyle, and just about any tune that makes you wanna get down.
*PARTY DAD*
Party Dad is a Southern-born DJ now based in Brooklyn. A devoted digger and music obsessive, he's spent years amassing a collection of records that invoke the disco spirit, regardless of their actual genre. It's not uncommon for deep house groovers, funky rock cuts, and italo obscurities to find their way into his sets alongside boogie jams, disco classics, and his own exclusive edits.
*XANDER*
Ex-Le Mellotron resident and current member / resident DJ of Parisian party collective La Wild, Xander relocated from London (ish) to Paris in the summer of 2015. Fast forward a couple of years and you can find him regularly playing records at places like Le Discobar, Djoon, and Cabaret Sauvage in his adopted city or further afield in London, New York or Japan. Spanning city pop, jazz fusion, boogie, broken beat, Chicago house and UKG, Xander has the goods for hi-fi bars, 4AM on the dance floor, and everything in between.
Jupiter Disco is a refuge and a safe space.
