We’re switching things up this Friday for our Midnight Bass Selectors party with the return of our Bongo 360° set-up with special guests Refracta, Smiff & Blackcat!
Our last 360° with Mrs Magoo went off so we’re buzzing to bring it back to the Bongo Club this Winter / Spring, this time complete with an all-star local lineup sure to do the damage!

REFRACTA //
Edinburgh-based DJ, producer & promoter Refracta barely needs an introduction for anyone who’s tapped into the UK drum and bass scene. From cutting his teeth at MB seven years ago, Refracta has really popped off since lockdown and with his unique production sound championed by major DnB lables including Born on Road, Shogun Audio, Low Down Deep, Hospital Records and most recently DNB Allstars and he sure as hell shows no signs of slowing up!
It’s always a pleasure to have him on the wheels with us at Bongo and this time, he’ll be fully surrounded by ferrel ravers (you lot) for the 360 experience. This will be his first dnb set in a while before he jets off on tour around Canada! Send it!
SMIFF //
Another local producer and DJ doing big bits is Smiff. With a growing list of releases and regular slots behind the decks at venues all over the city, Smiff is well known for getting things moving with his eclectic range of sounds. He runs and is a resident at his own parties Red Room Sound and Postal at Sneay Pete's who have welcomed a plethora of guests to the capital including Sherelle, Nikki Nair, Simo Cell, and DJ ADHD to name but a few! Smiff is a true local favourite who always delivers the goods. We are buzzing to have him showcase his skills and sounds this Friday!
BLACKCAT //
As founder/resident at the Edinburgh based drum & bass night, Liquid Funktion which has been representing the deeper and groovier side of dnb since 2016, Blackcat aka BC always brings quality selections from both the light and dark sides of the force.
For this 360° special, the crowd is welcomed to get immersed in front, to the side and behind the DJ booth with the decks and centred on the dancefloor! We’ll bring the music, you bring the energy! See you in amongst it.
