Gerd Janson co-manages the German label Running Back with Thorsten Scheu. He was a regular at Mannheim’s Milk Club in the early 90s, where he developed a love for US-styled House music. Janson has been a prominent figure at Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson, co-hosting Liquid club nights with DJ heavyweight Thomas Hammann and has been serving the hottest house and disco cuts for the past few years. He's gained recognition as one of Germany's top DJs, leading to frequent gigs worldwide. When not DJing, he writes for music publications like Groove magazine, Spex or works at Darmstadt's Pentagon Recordstore and contributes to the Red Bull Music Academy. Additionally, he's ventured into remixing and released a compilation of 80s jams with Jazzanova on Sonar Kollektiv.
