The next session of Free Rice happens in collaboration with Fandango, a collective of party enthusiasts, dancers and scenographers motivated by building community and alternative realities with a long-lasting impact. Starting in Berlin, Fandango has sought out then reshaped several formerly obscure but presently iconic locations across Europe and more recently in Brazil.
Sisi Savidge
Sisi Savidge is a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin. Her record collection speaks of conversations in corners of shops, on top of tables and over glasses of wine around the world. Sisi co-produces and is a resident of Fandango, as well as London-based Voices Radio and loose.fm. She contributes regularly to Reform and Berlin’s MilkMe. Sisi founded the multimedia live events platform, GOAT, in 2018 and hosts events in London and Berlin. Her Wohnzimmer concerts at home have become a popular winter mini series in Berlin, working with local artists to create a new live experience.
Mark Gill
Berlin-based DJ and promoter Mark Gill spent his adolescence diving into club culture. With early contributions to spaces such as Dublin’s Twisted Pepper and Space Ibiza, Mark went on to explore further with illegal raves and push the boundaries of the underground clubbing scene. He is active in his expansion of communities and has co-founded the collectives Room 19 (Dublin/Ibiza), Station Karparty (Ukraine) and Fandango (Berlin, Kyiv, Rio).
Mark performs regularly with collectives such as Synergy (IT), Santsant (HU), and Goptun, Onda & Dando (BR). He is also a resident on Refuge Worldwide and 20ft Radio.
Dj Khabal
With a decade of DJing distributed between Lisbon and Berlin, Diogo Lima aka DJ Khabal brings with him the experience of club music in its various aspects and its different points of communion or expression. Used to combining EBM, Dark Italo and the Punk and Obscure side of Leftfield Music, he moves without barriers or stereotypes that fits into a dj set, whether on a technical or ideological level. Enjoy the music while the music lasts.
Free Rice is a monthly free-access event, focused on club music.
*Arroz Estúdios is a non-profit cultural association, a membership is required to enter. Membership cost is €3 and is valid for the whole year.
