- With our hearing only just returning after Dario Zenker's storming set, Public House is back and we have a very special party for you. Constantly striving to bring you the most vibrant and energetic parties in East London our nomadic search for the finest venues led us to find Drop East. Formally afterhours hang out '54', it has been refurbished to a level which matches our high standards. Expect an intimate basement vibe powered by a booming soundsystem. Having these credentials we needed to book someone capable of smashing this new spot to pieces and we are proud to announce that Jef K will be joining us on October 2nd. The Silver Network head honcho and godfather of the Paris scene will bring his unique bass heavy brand of house to the PH and we are seriously pumped! The unmissable Jef K remix of The Gathering's "In My System" has been dubbed by Resident Advisor as '2010's biggest and best' and has been championed heavily by Chilean superstar Ricardo Villalobos and numerous other big hitters such as Radio Slave and Lauhaus. His RA podcast has received glowing reviews from all over the world and he is one of the hottest properties in the industry. Needless to say this is set to be one the parties of the year. Save the date! --- D J ' s --- Jef K (Silver Network, Hello) http://www.myspace.com/silvernetwork A native of Paris, Jef K started mixing records in 1992 after spending nine months in London. His deep, groovy and sexy house sets made him quickly earn a reputation as one of the fastest rising DJs amongst the French house scene. Jef had a Saturday monthly residency at the legendary Rex Club from 1998 until 2002 and is a resident for the “Respect” nights all over the world. He had a monthly residency at Fuse in Brussels for four years and plays regularly at the infamous Robert Johnson in Frankfurt. In 1999, Jef teamed up with his brother Antoine, aka DJ Tony Silver, to launch the Silver Network and Fast Forward FFWD record labels quickly followed by a new label called Crack & Speed with Holmar Filipsson. Although the label was closed in 2008 it gave way for a new projects. Jef teamed up again with his old friend Chris Carrier and released three huge offerings on the Silver Network imprint. This was followed by Jef & Chris now joining together with legendary Chicago house pioneer Chez Damier (Chicago) under the name The Gathering. 'In My System' was released in summer 2010 and has already been hailed as the biggest releases of the year. Be sure that Jef is going to tear the roof off Public House in October.
