- We’ll be kicking off the Early May Bank Holiday Weekend at Bar A Bar with our next party: under/currents. This time, we’re honoured to be joined by master of the groove, James Andrew. Originally from Bristol and now residing in London, James has been making music for 13 years and collecting records for around 10. Like us, his passion for music was ignited through immersing himself in the Bristol music scene, and further shaped through his years spent exploring London's vast nightlife culture. In 2020 he founded Nothing But Nice records with his good friend and collaborator Charley, where he released his own 4 track EP titled Thinking Backwards. This EP set the scene for his quirky and genre-spanning music productions. Since then, James has released a number of EPs, including on Voigtmann’s Subsequent and Gene On Earth’s Limousine Dream labels. Coming hot off the heels of a South America tour and his latest release, The Excursion of Dreams EP, we're looking forward to welcoming this rising star underneath the streets of Stoke Newington.
