Brutalism presents Steve Bicknell, Olivia Mendez and DU.DA for the upcoming show at Artheater on 05.04.
After playing the legendary Psycho Thrill many years ago, Steve Bicknell finally returns to Cologne. Besides, making her Cologne debut, Olivia Mendez brings a diverse background to the electronic music scene.
A true pioneer with over 25 years in the industry, Bicknell co-founded the influential LOST and founded Cosmic Records with Rashit. In 2016, he launched the imprint 6Dimensions and in 2017, he joined the techno supergroup LSD, marking a significant chapter.
Meanwhile, Mendez, a music journalist, artist and promoter based in France and the UK, draws inspiration from Senegalese drums and the industrial landscapes of Detroit. She has released on labels such as Mord Records and founded the FLINTA collective Konvent, contributing to positive spaces for contemporary feminism.
Both artists will be supported by DU.DA, an up-and-coming DJ from Aachen and part of their beloved underground techno scene, who will also be making his first appearance in Cologne.
