Expect a night of Midwest heat headlined by Chicago legend DJ Slugo, with support from Databass Records cofounder Starski (Brian Gillespie) and Madison favorite Simon D. Enjoy a full Danley sound system by Resonant Events, an immersive dance floor, and body shaking beats from Midwest legends. 15 early bird 20 presale 25 at the door DJ Slugo has been performing since the early 1990’s as a founding member of Chicago’s infamous Dance Mania label, along with co-conspirators Paul Johnson and DJ Deeon. Slugo is world-reknown for his hits including, Wouldn’t You Like to be a Hoe Too, A Blunt, Godzilla Track, Where the Rats, and many more. London’s Underbeat Magazine calls Slugo’s Cardboard Booty album, “The most influential Ghetto House CD ever made,” and went on to call him, “The Ghetto-father of the American Dance floor.” His Chicago Juke DVD’s have gained over 2-million views in 2017. Daft Punk credits him by name, and references his track DJ’s On the Low, on their iconic song Teachers. He was featured by name recently on HBO’s hit TV show Ballers along with his track, I Ain’t Yo Baby Daddy, and has done remixes for artists such as Nina Kraviz (Ghetto Kraviz) and Missy Elliott (Work It), and has collaborations on the horizon with artists and labels in France, Brooklyn, and Japan. _______________________________________________________ Brian Gillespie (known by his alias Starski) is one of the most influential figures in the Detroit underground, filling every role imaginable in the dance music industry over the last 30 years. Alongside DJ Godfather and DJ Dick, Gillespie founded Databass Records, and went on to release a string of highly influential records including DJ Deeon - "Shake That Ass" and Bitch Ass Darius - "Get it Right". Behind the boards, Gillespie is known for his solo productions along with world-famous collaborations with Todd Osborne as Starski and Clutch. His white label series with DJ Godfather, D.E.T. Only, has received acclaim from heads across the Midwest and beyond. _______________________________________________________ Simon D is a local favorite, moving crowds across Madison through the summer of 2023 before moving back home to Upstate New York. We're bringing him back up to warm up the floor with the new tricks he's learned in his time away.
