Max Gardner Bio (Short Version):Techno is a layered phenomenon. On the surface level is the talk, fleeting and temporary.Beneath it lies an intricate web woven by all manner of creatives and intellectuals. At the centerof it all is the sound itself, and it is in this realm of sonic abstraction that you findMax Gardner.The San Francisco DJ and producer did not initially pursue electronic music with ambitions topromote himself as a brand. Doors opened nonetheless, and they never stopped. He is now oneof the artists most closely associated with Bay Area techno, releasing on labels likeBlankCode,Occultists, andNorthernParallels.A pivotal turning point saw Max launch a label called Peer. He set forth to introduce a technoplatform free of superstar ego, prioritizing musical merit over celebrity. He's released acompelling catalog through this imprint alongside respected friends in techno such asDrumcell,Insolate,Uun,Secus,Annika Wolfe,Declan James,Cory SimpsonandKnowbody.Max's often psychedelic, sometimes suspenseful, always hypnotic range of the techno spectrumhas afforded him audiences in cities across the globe. He's performed at clubs likeMUTEinMedellín,Leland City ClubandThe Worksin Detroit,RSOin Berlin, andMoogin Barcelona.He’s also held residencies at all the major venues in his home base of San Francisco, includingF8,1015 Folsom,Monarchand222 Hyde.Max is an originator of the influentialDirect to Earthcollective as well as a resident throughoutits lifetime of 12+ years and counting. He is also a return guest at gatherings likeOBSERVEinLA andThe Great Beyondoutside Minneapolis. His first European tour in 2023 saw him visitBerlin, Barcelona, Amsterdam and a gathering byPhase Collectivein Madrid.Max Gardner lives for the ephemeral moments in which time stands still, where words fail, aspure and honest audio shakes every reveler to their core. Adra | Direct to Earth
Adra, aka Alandria Sheffer is a heady and technical gear-based producer and live act based out of San Francisco, California. Originally hailing from Las Vegas, Adra moved to the bay to escape the desert heat, but it seems obvious that she’s brought to the bay a bit of heat on her own with her original music and Live P.A. Adra’s very much an underground techno phenomenon, having pushed aside many other things in her life in order to keep her head locked within her gear, as such, you might have to know someone or be already heavily involved in the scene to have to get to know what is stewing in her musical pot. In a way, that’s almost better since her music and focus are pure, while her dedication remains deeply true to the pursuit of techno that is at once both original and issues a challenge to the world techno scene at large, making her music a joy to discover and cherish as one of the many intriguing forces defining the SF techno scene to date.
