Hailing from the picturesque island of Rhodes, Greece, and currently finding solace and inspiration in the eclectic cityscape of Amsterdam, Jacko is a dedicated artist deeply entrenched in the world of electronic music. His artistic journey began at the tender age of 17 when he first stepped behind the decks, driven by an innate passion for music and a desire to express himself through sound.
Over the years, Jacko's artistic evolution has been marked by a profound dedication to his craft. With a penchant for craiting raw and hypnotic techno, his compositions delve into the depths of emotion, resonating with listeners on a visceral level. His sets, characterized by their seamless blend of groove and energy, invite audiences into a transcendent experience where time seems to stand still, and emotions run deep. Having cut his teeth in the vibrant club scene of Rhodes, Jacko has garnered a wealth of experience, honing his skills and refining his artistic vision. Now, in the bustling creative hub of Amsterdam, he finds himself immersed in a rich tapestry of cultural influences, fueling his creativity and pushing him to explore new sonic territories. While Jacko's journey as a DJ has been one of profound personal growth and artistic exploration, he now sets his sights on the next chapter of his career: production. COMPOUND RHYTHM
Compound Rhythm embarked on his voyage into electronic music in 2004 with the purchase of his first turntables, greatly influenced by Dutch trance DJs. Over time, his interest transitioned from trance to deep-house, ultimately finding Techno, the genre that he resonates with the most, in 2015. He got the opportunity to host 'Good Times Radio', a weekly radio show on Amsterdams Most Wanted, a task he still enjoys after five years.
Fast forward to 2019, Compound Rhythm made a monumental leap, becoming a resident at EAST Techno Collective. This pulsating weekly event was born at Panama Amsterdam and now rocks every Thursday at Club Roots and regularly at Paradiso Amsterdam. Reaching a thrilling pinnacle in his career, Compound Rhythm made his debut at the legendary club Paradiso Amsterdam during EAST Techno Collective XL in the summer of 2022. Techno has remained central to Compound Rhythm's career, driving a relentless rhythm, a compound rhythm if you will.
