- LIMINAL SPACES & SENNHEISER PRESENTS: ◎ MASSIMILIANO PAGLIARA (IT) ◎ There’s an ongoing lust for dialogue when it comes to Massimiliano Pagliara – be it through his collaborations and solo productions, during his DJ sets, with his own music label Funnuvojere Records or on a personal level. The world of dance, movement and communication is deeply rooted in Massi’s life – when you know how to move yourself, you easily know how to move others. Massimiliano was born in Tricase (Lecce, IT) but has been based in Berlin for several years where he's been one of the main forces behind recombining the city's hardboiled techno scene with an often overlooked sensibility for the soft and the tender. Call it underground disco passion. Massi describes his style as an eclectic mix of house, disco, electro and techno – one may call it current-yet-classic. DJing has since led to production. These days Massi lets his obsession with analog synths run wild. His latest album See You In Paradise (October 2022), on Permanent Vacation, received worldwide acclaim and earning Massi the German Records Critics Award. Besides his busy DJ schedule and far from the usual club circuit routines, the Panorama Bar resident has dedicated himself to intense travelling and exploring the world anew. ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ ◎ ND_BAUMECKER (DE) ◎ nd_baumecker’s sets have long been known as a foundational part of the Panorama Bar's identity: deep, unpredictable, funky, bassline-heavy, melodic, and seamless flowing between different rhythms and key-changes. Frankfurt native Andreas Baumecker aka nd_baumecker began his DJ career in 1991 in a bar called Romantica, located near the city’s main train station. Soon, Baumecker was regularly playing Frankfurt’s numerous electronic music venues (Box, XS, Music Hall, Dorian Grey). After a short stop in Mannheim, regular guest DJ sets at Berghain / Panorama Bar predecessor club OstGut in Berlin, and establishing his own label Freundinnen Audio, nd_baumecker moved to the German capital in 2004. There he not only picked up a residency at Panorama Bar inside the newly opened Berghain but also started a job as the club’s in-house booker. Stylistically, Baumecker covers a truly broad spectrum of dance music, refusing to be limited by genre: "A well known choreographer once said: 'Surprise is important.’ I think this approach describes my DJ style best. I’m constantly oscillating between disco, house, techno, electro, broken beats and pop. Dance music should have a good portion of funk and, in a way, it needs to sound like disco, whatever the style. I like vocals a lot. Having shared the stage at frontier clubs like Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, Blitz and Hafen with illustrious artists like Heiko MSO, Chez Damier, and nd_baumecker, Francesco's musical journey has been enriched by unforgettable impromptu B2B sessions. Embracing his humility and solid musical foundation, he has become a dynamic force behind the decks, captivating audiences with his well-crafted sets that transcend boundaries. His ability to read the energy of the room and adapt his music accordingly has earned him a devoted fan base, making his performances an unmissable experience. Keep an eye on this rising talent as he continues to shine brightly on the electronic music horizon. ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ✧✺ツ STUEBAR: ◎ ROBIN FLUX (DE/DK) ◎ Robin Flux is a multifaceted DJ/producer, dancer and artist based in Copenhagen, having performed in revered venues across Europe, the US and Asia, with a recent extensive tour across Japan and Korea. Inspired by the early era of underground dance and club culture in the US, he developed his own unique sound that is situated between house and techno, with discerning dips into ballroom, club, garage and disco. As an active dancer in the international ballroom, whacking and house dance communities, he is dedicated to creating queer-centered, intentional safe spaces where dance culture can thrive in non-judgmental environments.
