  • Infamous UK club night Firefly's 1st party of the season is now confirmed, with 3 of the worlds finest dj’s we can find for your audible pleasure... Limited £10 earlybird tickets now on sale http://www.antidote909.com/ /// RIVA STARR Riva Starr is a name that should be very familiar to anyone with an interest in modern house music. Having shot to the top after a string of head turning releases and remixes on some of the most talked about labels, Riva Starr couldn’t be hotter right now. What’s quite rema...rkable though is how quickly Stefano Miele, aka Riva Starr has established himself so prominently on a DJ/producer circuit that’s notoriously difficult to break into. It doesn’t hurt that Claude VonStroke and Jesse Rose, the two men who sit on top of the pile, happen to be two of his biggest fans. /// PHIL KIERAN Techno King, Phil Kieran, is back once again with an array of quality records to be put out on a variety of labels, including his exciting new project Phil Kieran Recordings. This year has already been very special for the Belfast-born DJ/producer with the release of his mammoth album, SHH, on Cocoon to critical acclaim, and a successful world tour which debuted his forward thinking live AV-sets in some of the biggest clubs around. New Releases coming up on including Snork Enterprises, Electric Deluxe, International DJ Gigolo and of course Cocoon that have just signed a new EP. Skyhook gained support form the Techno Elite with Sven Vath & Richie Hawtin using it as a weapon of choice for a number of years other supporters include Deadmau5 who has been using skyhook in his sets for years. Originally no remixes of the chart smasher were made despite huge interest and requests from various people to rework the track, with the lack of a label to distribute them being cited as the main reason. But finally, this demon has been put to bed and the gauntlet has been picked up by Jesper Dalhback & Adam Beyer, Ricardo Tobar, Scuba & SCB, Green Velvet and Grown men the new side project of Al Doyle (LCD Soundsystem/hotchip) & Felix Martin (Hot Chip). These monster remixes of Skyhook will rocket propel the launch of Phil Kieran Recordings and also finally fulfil the appetite of those who have been demanding its re-release for over three years. ///SCUBA vs SCB (Paul Rose) Paul Rose is one of the most influential figures in the world of dubstep. As label head of Hotflush Recordings, he's helped release work from Benga, Shackleton and, of course, Joy Orbison and his RA #1 single of 2009, "Hyph Mngo." Events-wise, he's one of the masterminds behind Sub:stance, a night that has brought the likes of Mala, D-Bridge, Scion and Kode9 to Berlin's Berghain. And, under the Scuba name, he's produced two full-lengths of remarkably diverse work that reflect his wide-ranging taste and machine mastery.
