The first edition of a new fundraising series dedicated to raising awareness for marginalised groups around the world, DUNYA will celebrate Sudanese culture.
DUNYA, meaning "world" in Arabic is the inauguration of a series of MOTHER´s fundraising events dedicated to raising awareness for marginalised Groups worldwide. Our first edition promises a cultural celebration of Sudan, while providing insight into the shared struggles, triumphs, and resilience of these communities. All proceeds from ticket sales and 100% profit from merch will be donated to support of Darfur Women Action Group: Empowering and aiding female victims of violence and Sudan Solidarity Collective (SCC)
For this evening we will have a sound curation from Sudan Tapes Archive and Awesome Tapes from Africa´s Brian who will provide us a selection of unique analogue sounds. Berlin based Mother´s co-Funder DJSOULSEEK will partner up with an activist from Sudan for a brief intervention.
Tickets are available at 15€. There is also an option to buy a 'solidarity' ticket if you'd like to support this evening without being able to attend.
