Taking over Leland City Club, XOXR & Boyfriend Dick bring hard-techno darling Sevyn 0000 to Detroit for the first time, introducing a new series this duo calls DANCE HARDER!
For the past few years, Sevyn 0000’s hypnotic and heavy sound has pushed the dance scene in Los Angeles to new heights. Recently moving to New York City, she has established herself at the forefront of the underground techno scene. She is frequently heard playing at BASEMENT NY, touring in Berlin and across Europe.
Joining her on the decks will be local vibe-master, Garrison XR, and Brooklyn meme legend, Boyfriend Dick, going back to back together for the first time. Opening the night we have two fresh DJ's carving a space for themselves in the scene, UR_IN and Amino, back to back under the name REMOVE HIM. Watch out for an integrated performance by local icon Purrrspective, and make sure to say hey to our beautiful hosts, Queer Detroit, Christian Deswan, Lumii, Reem, and Ty-Jones.

After quietly producing music for years, Sevyn 0000 finally released her debut EP, "Typer," last month, which Paper Magazine called "a pure expression of kinetic energy" and "a gift and a challenge" that helps "define the brutal, joyful, singular sound of LA’s post-pandemic techno wave." Without a doubt, "Typer" announces Sevyn as a singular new voice in experimental dance music production, in addition to her accomplishments as a DJ.
Known for breathing energy into the L.A. underground scene at parties like Serenity Link, which she co-founded, as well as Por Detroit, Soul Swap, and Tunnel, Sevyn 0000 just moved to New York City, where she's become a regular on lineups at Basement. Other career highlights include last year’s set at Boiler Room L.A., DJ'ing Kanye West's YZY Rave in L.A., and showcasing the performance piece "Creep" in L.A. and New York, in which Sevyn combined movement, text, and sculpture with DJ'ing and original production to create an immersive experience. She's currently on a 5-show American tour as Izzy Spears's tour DJ, providing support to Dorian Electra.
