  • PTS presents a night of maximalist excess from the bleeding edge. This one's at gig timings and on a Thursday for a change, so mark it heavily in your calendars. ◉ DJ Ramon Sucesso (live) Rio de Janeiro-born producer DJ Ramon Sucesso has evangelized experimental music fans around the world to baile funk with frenetic viral videos in which he pounds away at MIDI pads and distorts turntable scratches into banshee wails. Each Sucesso video has a signature visual touch: When the bass hits, the camera vibrates in an uncontrollable fit, almost like you’re smack dab inside the pounding heart of a subwoofer. Transforming the DJ controller from a musical playback device into a generative instrument all its own, Sucesso brings turntablist Olympics into the era of MIDI pads and Serato controllers. ◉ aya (live) aya’s music is a dizzying tunnel system of itchy scratches, whispered desires, fried zaps, and unsettling sounds so tactile they seem to almost puncture your eardrum. Her new 'Lip Flip' EP comes out of left field once again, with a far-out brand of esoteric global club styles being the driving force. Excited to bring her back down to Bristol for a live set, after she deconstructed her process for Noods Levels back in late 2023. ◉ Blood of Aza (dj) From nervously blissed out cyberscapes to jaw-gnashing walls of noise, Blood of Aza's expert worldbuilding paints a picture that is at the same time both ultraviolent and vulnerable. Part of the Soul Feeder collective, FFO: Kavari, Fitness etc. + early doors set from Bristol's baile funk trailblazer Gus & intermission sets from PTS residents ✎ Writings taken from Pitchfork (Nadine Smith, Kieran Press-Reynolds) & The Record Report (Tom Babbington-Fowles)
