- Saturday May 4th, we welcome you to the second edition of Timbre Supply featuring true musical mavericks Boyz ii Them, the duo of ADAB and Russell E.L. Butler, and beloved DMV decknician Valentina. Beginning their musical career in hometown Cleveland, Ohio, ADAB continued to cultivate their passion and prowess taking them to Pittsburgh, New York, and recently Philly to spread their wings even further. Known for bringing out the deepest of cuts, ADAB’s spiritual touch on music consistently leaves emotional memories on dance floors such as Dope Jams, Hot Mass, Honcho, Nowadays, and Interdimensional Transmissions. Originally born in Bermuda before moving to NYC, Russell E.L. Butler is a true sonic sculptor both in the studio and behind the booth. An educator and experimenter in modular synthesis, Russell has traveled from Portland, OR to Prague holding workshops sharing their knowledge and composing personal pieces. They have also taken upon the large task of archiving the late Frankie Knuckles’ vast record collection, expanding their own encyclopedic musical knowledge. The magic created by two true musical forces sharing the booth together is indescribable. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience Boyz ii Them on big, vintage sound deep into the sunrise. Setting the energy for the night is beloved DC based DJ, Valentina. Valentina has been sharing their refined, wide-ranging vinyl collection with music lovers for the past 10 years and continues to educate dance floors across the DMV. Always digging for the obscure and evocative, Valentina is guaranteed to keep us guessing what’s cued up next. We are incredibly excited to host our friend for a cathartic night of musical exploration. This event is 21+ and BYOB. Celestial Spaces’ community monitors and station will be onsite providing harm reduction education / products at no cost throughout the night. Advanced tickets encouraged, location, and information will be provided to ticket holders the day of the event. If cost is a barrier, please reach out for accommodations. There will be no cash ticket sales at the door, however the Resident Advisor link will remain open throughout the night with an automatic email containing the location.
