- HAPPY 1 YEAR TO US! We can’t believe it’s already been a year since we started throwing our rave in our little Folsom cave! So many friends, new and old, have stepped through our doors to dance with us. We‘ve been blown away by the talent that has graced our DIY stage and our staff is second to none! We’ve got an exciting year ahead and we KNOW youre gonna love everything we have in store for you. On with this show, though! We’re excited for our first international showcase with DJ Tool and Hyperaktivist of queer Berlin collective, Mala Junta. 'Mala Junta' is an intense and intimate underground party from Berlin that focuses on old school, fast, funky & sassy techno, trance, electro, and breakbeats. Over the years Mala Junta has established itself as one of the most talked-about and dearest queer Berlin raves. Thanks to the unique sound of each resident, they cover a vast spectrum of styles and blur the lines between the genres. Whether in Berlin or in other cities, their parties aim at creating bridges and connections between communities. The party was founded around the idea of “Taking people back to the days where it all began” with an aim to bring back the feeling of freedom, protest, and celebration of the early 90’s rave era and connect it with the unique energy of the contemporary Berlin queer community. Remember to take your vitamins, powder that nose and lets fucking dance because it’s our birthday y'all!!
